Supplied for hand drawn, cord drawn or electric operated systems, in a choice of diameter; 23mm, 30mm, 50mm or the ultra-modern 36mm flat profile. Metropole decorative curtain poles are functional, attractively finished with a sleek appearance. They come in a wide range of finishes with up to 13 pole colours including chrome, mahogany and diva gold. As standard, all brackets, covers, end caps and end sets are coordinated to match the colour of the curtain pole. You can then customise your pole with a range of decorative elements; finials, midials, hold backs and brackets are available in a myriad of contemporary or traditional designs.

Functional

Silent Gliss was founded in 1952 by an innovative Swiss engineer who designed the first silent curtain track system. The metropole is actually a functioning curtain track; the curtain hangs directly on the gliders removing the need for curtain rings. Gliders on the Silent Gliss Metropole run in aluminium channels coated in silicon which are unhindered by brackets or rings for perfect functioning.

The decorative tracks can be forward and reverse bent to different radiuses for an easy, seamless fit in curved applications such as bay windows. Silent Gliss Metropole 30mm, 36mm and 50mm pole are also compatible with the Wave and Wave XL curtain heading systems.

Pioneers at Silent Gliss were also the first to electrically operate curtains via push-button control. The Silent Gliss Metropole is available in 3 electric track options to suit light to heavy weight curtains, including wall switch, timer or remote control.

Choosing your System

23mm Pole - hand operated elegant, slim pole for light to medium weight curtains.

30mm Pole - hand and cord operated for medium to heavy weight curtains.

50mm Pole - largest diameter available in hand, cord or electronically operated, for medium to heavy weight curtains.

36mm Pole - a contemporary flat pole, hand operated for medium to heavy weight curtains.

All poles can be bent to varying radiuses, with the exception of the Metropole 50mm motorised system, you can contact us for further details about bending the Silent Gliss Metropole to fit your space.

The real beauty of the Silent Gliss Metropole is in its styling and decorative options, allowing you to design a fashionable curtain pole to fit in perfectly with your existing decor. First choose from the 13 possible pole colours (choice varies depending on which system); Black, White, Cream, Silver, Chrome Effect, Classic Gold, Diva Gold, Gunmetal, Steel Grey, Bronze, Mahogany, Oak or Beech.

Designer finials, midials, cord weights, hold backs and brackets are available to complement and accessorise. You can select from the following styles:
